Join us in The Yard as we launch a new era of live jazz at Alserkal with the Samvel Gasparyan Trio.

Our opening night begins with Armenian folk rhythms and progressive jazz as pianist Samvel Gasparyan leads his trio with deep Middle Eastern melodies and contemporary improvisations.

His compositions honor Armenian roots while exploring new territory. The trio moves from quiet folk passages to bold jazz statements, connecting with both jazz fans and world music listeners. The group has performed across Europe and Asia, with their recent album "Mountains Speak" earning praise from Jazz Times. Gasparyan's training at the Yerevan State Conservatory and Berklee College of Music shapes his unique approach to progressive jazz.
