AlGhadeer Folklore

The Fridge were commissioned by AlGhadeer Emirati Crafts to develop an immersive performance for COP28 in Expo City. 'AlGhadeer Folklore’, was a unique 12 minute immersive performance showcasing traditional crafts in a contemporary and fresh aesthetic.

This celebration of Emirati culture embraced reinvention, sustainability and innovation, while drawing on the values and inherited skills of our forefathers. It put women's roles and expertise front and centre, whilst embracing the impact and evolution brought by the youth of today.

Featuring dancers, drummers, craftswomen and Emirati women, the show is a celebration of heritage, tradition, connection, resilience and unity.
